Repeat Prescriptions

  • Which prescriptions can be requested?

Repeat Prescriptions may be requested provided that they have previously been approved by a doctor.

  • Who can request a prescription?

They should be requested by the patients themselves or their carer, if the patients are unable to do so themselves. 

  • How to request?

  1. You can register for the NHS app and request your prescriptions. Please bring in photo ID to reception and we can provide you with a password to allow you to do this. 
  2. If you register to book appointments online, you can also request to order your prescriptions online. Please bring in photo ID to reception and we can provide you with a password to allow you to do this.
  3. You can come in person to the reception desk. Please use the tear-off white half of your last prescription to request a new one.
  4. We regret we cannot accept prescriptions requests over the telephone, unless you are housebound.
  5. We regret that we don't accept prescriptions requests done by email, to avoid delays.

  • When will they be ready?

Any prescription request handed in before 11:30 am will be ready for collection within 2 working days or you will be contacted by a member of staff if further information if needed

  • Where to collect?

We will send the prescriptions directly to your nominated pharmacy, if you have one, and you can collect your items directly at your pharmacist. 

 

Special notice regarding OZEMPIC

Ozempic National shortage

Following NHS local guidance, we are unable to start any patient on Ozempic. This applies to patient that were advised to start by a specialist. This is because a continuous supply can't be guaranteed in the next months. We are constantly reviewing the situation. Patients who wish to can be added to our waiting list and when the guideline is updated, we will contact them.
